How to Make a Fresh Flower Candle

What you will need

Melt your wax and add the rose fragrance.
Place white pebbles at the bottom of the vase to hold the flowers, then arrange your fresh flowers.
Fill the vase three quarters with water, covering the flowers, then pour about 2cm of scented wax over the water and leave to set.
Position the wick on the set layer and fill the rest of the vase with melted wax. Best made on the day of your event.

Once you have made your fresh flower candle, here are a few ways to get a great result and put your own spin on it.

Match your wick to the container width: too small and it tunnels, too large and it smokes.
Add fragrance at around 60C so the scent binds properly into the wax.
Cure your candles for 24 to 48 hours before lighting so the scent settles and the burn is cleaner.
