Method

Melt the wax and let it cool until it looks milky rather than watery.
Pour into the top and bottom cavities of the mould and leave to set.
Unmould, make a hole through the middle of the top and bottom and thread the wick so they join as one cup cake.
Dip in coloured wax and decorate with different colours.

Once you have made your cup cake candles, here are a few ways to get a great result and put your own spin on it.

Match your wick to the container width: too small and it tunnels, too large and it smokes.
Add fragrance at around 60C so the scent binds properly into the wax.
Warm your container slightly before pouring to help the wax stick and avoid wet spots on the glass.
