What you will need

Method
- Cut the red glycerine soap into 1cm slices and cut a heart out of each slice with the cookie cutter.
- Press the hearts firmly onto the bottom of the roasting pan (turn the pan upside down to check they hold, any that fall out need pressing down again).
- Melt the white farmhouse soap in the microwave or a pot on the stove.
- Stir the cherry fragrance into the melted white soap.
- Gently pour the white soap over the hearts and leave to set.
- Once set, turn out and slice into bars, each with a red heart inside.

Tips & variations
Once you have made your chunky heart soaps, here are a few ways to get a great result and make it your own.
- Use a soap-safe fragrance within the recommended rate so it pours and sets well.
- Pick a flexible silicone mould, it makes unmoulding much easier.
- Add colour and fragrance once the soap has cooled slightly, then pour before it starts to set.
Make it your own: swap the colour, fragrance or botanicals, or try a different mould for a whole new look.
