Farmhouse Soap – Charcoal & Spearmint

A natural farmhouse soap base in dark grey, made with spearmint essential oil and activated charcoal. Fresh, minty and deeply cleansing, and already coloured and scented so you can simply melt, pour and set. This is a raw base for soap making, not a finished bar.

Working with it. Cut into even cubes and melt gently in a double boiler or short microwave bursts, stirring between each. Do not boil. Pour into your moulds and leave to set fully before unmoulding.

What to make. Dramatic dark bars, striking layers against a white or clear base, marbled and swirled designs, and men’s gift sets where the charcoal look sells the bar.

Good to know. Charcoal is naturally messy to work with, so keep it off pale surfaces and cloths. Wrap finished bars once set and keep them dry.
