Aqueous Cream

Classic aqueous cream, a light everyday moisturiser that doubles as a gentle cleansing base. Economical, unfussy and widely used, which is why it is a standby in so many homes.

How makers use it. As a base to scent and decant into your own jars, as the cream in a body butter or lotion blend, and as a carrier for adding your own oils. It also works as a rinse-off cleanser for taking off make-up.

Good to know. Anything water-based needs a preservative if you plan to keep it or sell it, and clean, dry jars matter. Add fragrance sparingly and stir it through fully.
