Farmhouse Soap – Goats Milk Unfragranced

A natural farmhouse soap base in soft caramel, made with organic goats milk and left unfragranced so you can scent and colour it yourself. This is a raw base for soap making, not a finished bar.

Working with it. Cut into even cubes and melt gently, in a double boiler or short microwave bursts, stirring between each. Milk bases scorch more easily than clear ones, so keep the heat low and stop as soon as the last cubes melt. Add fragrance and colour once it has cooled a little, then pour.

What to make. Creamy opaque bars, layered bars against a clear base, oat and honey style soaps, and gift sets.

Good to know. The caramel colour is natural to the milk and can vary a little between batches. Wrap finished bars once set and keep them dry.
