How to Make Room Spray

A reed diffuser fills a room with fragrance with no flame needed, easy to make and long lasting. An easy recipe from The Soap Barn.
What you will need
- Diffuser base oil
- Fragrance oil
- Fibre reed sticks
- A narrow-necked bottle
Method
- Fill your bottle most of the way with diffuser base oil.
- Add fragrance oil to taste (roughly a quarter of the bottle) and swirl to mix.
- Pop in the reed sticks.
- After about an hour, flip the reeds to start the scent flowing. Flip them every few days to refresh the fragrance.

Tips & variations
Once you have made your reed diffuser, here are a few ways to get a great result and make it your own.
- Flip the reeds every few days to refresh the scent throw.
- Use more reeds for a bigger room and fewer for a small one.
- Use a clean, dry container so nothing dilutes or spoils the mix.
Make it your own: blend two fragrances, or adjust the strength to suit the size of the room.
