African Black Soap Shampoo
A liquid African black soap for hair and scalp, rich and lathering, made the traditional way by saponifying oils with plant ash.
How makers use it. Decant into your own bottles, scent it if you like, and pair it with a conditioner or a hair oil for a matching set. It is also popular as a low-additive wash for people who prefer a short ingredients list.
Good to know. Black soap lathers differently to a commercial shampoo because it contains no added surfactants. Colour and scent vary a little from batch to batch, which is normal for a plant-ash soap. Shake before decanting.
Ingredients: unrefined shea butter, virgin coconut oil, cocoapod ash. Available in 500ml and 5L.
