Bath Crystals (Epsom Salts/Magnesium Sulphate)

Classic Epsom salts, also known as magnesium sulphate. A bath staple on its own and one of the most-used bases for making your own bath products.

What to make. Scented bath salts, bath teas and soaks, foot soaks, salt scrubs blended with a carrier oil, and jarred gift sets.

Making bath salts. Stir a skin-safe fragrance or essential oil through the dry salt a little at a time until it is evenly scented, add colour if you want it, then leave it spread out to dry before jarring. Jarring while damp is what makes salts clump.

Storage. Airtight and dry. Salt draws moisture, so a sealed jar keeps it loose and pourable.
