Gel Candle Wax
Crystal-clear candle gel for candles that look good enough to display unlit. The see-through finish is made for suspending shells, beads, glass or dried botanicals, so the candle doubles as decor.
Working with it. Melt slowly over gentle heat and never let it boil, as overheating clouds the gel and can scorch it. Pour into heat-safe glass only. Warm the glass first so the gel does not seize against a cold surface, and pour slowly down the inside wall to keep it clear. If you want bubbles, pour faster and cooler, they suspend beautifully in gel.
Embeds. Use sealed, non-flammable pieces and keep them clear of the wick. Sand, shells, glass beads and ceramic all work. Anything porous releases air and clouds the gel, so seal it first.
Fragrance. Gel takes a lighter scent load than paraffin or soy, so add sparingly and stir slowly to avoid whipping in air. Use an oil rated for candles.
Available in 1L, 5L and 25L. New to gel? Start with our gel candle method, then try gel cocktail candles.
