Candle Wax Beads (Paraffin)

Paraffin candle wax in bead form, so there is no chopping or scraping before you start. The beads melt quickly and evenly and pour cleanly, which makes them a forgiving base for a first batch as well as a fast one for a big run.

What to make. Container candles, pillars and moulded candles, floating candles, tea lights and novelty shapes.

Working with it. Melt in a double boiler rather than over direct heat and keep an eye on the temperature. Add fragrance once it has cooled slightly off the melt, stir it in thoroughly, then pour. Warming your container or mould first helps prevent the wax pulling away from the sides as it sets.

Good to know. Paraffin holds a strong scent throw and takes dye well, so it suits brightly coloured and heavily fragranced candles.
