Mousse Base Bath/Shower

A whippable base for bath and shower mousse, ready to colour, scent and fluff into soft foaming clouds. Whip it up, spoon it into jars and you have a product that looks as good as it feels.

How to make it. Whip the base with an electric mixer until it lightens and holds soft peaks. Add colour and a skin-safe fragrance towards the end and whip briefly to combine, then spoon or pipe into wide-mouth jars while it is still airy.

What to make. Bath and shower mousse, whipped soap for gift sets, shaving whip, and piped decorative tops on bath products.

Good to know. Over-whipping can knock the air back out, so stop once it holds its shape. Wide jars work better than narrow bottles because the mousse is thick.
