White Glycerine Base – Unfragranced

A white melt and pour glycerine soap base, unfragranced and ready for your own colours and scents. Where the clear base gives you see-through bars, this one gives you clean opaque ones, so colours read as solid pastels and creams.

Working with it. Cut into even cubes and melt gently in a double boiler or short microwave bursts, stirring between each. Do not boil. Add colour and fragrance once it has cooled slightly, stir slowly, pour, then spritz the surface with surgical spirits to clear any bubbles.

What to make. Classic opaque bars, layered bars against the clear base, embeds, swirls, and soaps with botanicals or exfoliants stirred through.

Good to know. No curing time is needed. Wrap finished bars once set, as glycerine draws moisture from the air.
