How to Make Strawberry and Lime Farmhouse Soap
12 June 2026An exfoliating foot soap with ground pumice suspended throughout, refreshing lemon grass and grapefruit scent.
What you will need
- Lemon grass glycerine soap
- Grapefruit glycerine soap
- 2 tablespoons ground pumice
- Foot-shaped mould
Method
- Cut the soap into chunks and place in a plastic jug.
- Gently melt it in the microwave.
- Stir in two tablespoons of ground pumice.
- Keep stirring as the soap cools, this keeps the pumice evenly spread. When it starts to thicken, pour quickly into the mould (timing matters, pour too early and the pumice sinks to the bottom).
- Leave to set, then turn out.

Tips & variations
Once you have made your lemon grass pumice foot soap, here are a few ways to get a great result and make it your own.
- Use a soap-safe fragrance within the recommended rate so it pours and sets well.
- Pick a flexible silicone mould, it makes unmoulding much easier.
- Melt glycerine soap gently in short bursts so it does not overheat or form a skin.
Make it your own: swap the colour, fragrance or botanicals, or try a different mould for a whole new look.
