How to Make Chocolate-Orange Body Butter

A decadent chocolate-orange body butter that melts into the skin, gorgeous for winter. This easy recipe from The Soap Barn uses simple ingredients from our body and bath range.

What you will need

• 500ml body butter base
• Orange fragrance
• Chocolate fragrance
• Orange colouring
• Lotion jars

Method

1. Melt the body butter base in the microwave for three to four minutes, then pour into a pot over low heat.
2. Add 1.5 to 2 litres of warm (bath-temperature) water and stir, then remove from the heat.
3. Add a little colour (not too much, to avoid staining skin) and your fragrances.
4. Leave to cool, stirring every few minutes, then beat with an electric beater until thick and smooth. Fill your jars.
