How to Make a Cleopatra Milk Scrub
11 June 2026A healing lotion with lemon and honey to soothe and repair chapped hands through winter.
What you will need
- 1000ml aqueous cream
- 100ml glycerine
- 100ml urea
- 100ml rose water
- 200ml shea butter
- 5ml lemon fragrance
- 5ml honey fragrance
- Pump bottles (tottles)
Method
- In a blender, blend the aqueous cream and glycerine together.
- Dissolve the urea in the rose water and add it to the blender.
- Melt the shea butter and add it in, along with the lemon and honey fragrances.
- Blend well, then decant into your pump bottles.
- Use morning and evening to heal chapped hands.

Once you have made your lemon and honey hand lotion, here are a few ways to get a great result and make it your own.
- This contains water, so always add a broad-spectrum preservative to keep it safe to use.
- Blend the oil and water phases at similar temperatures for a stable, silky result.
- Do a small patch test first whenever you try a new fragrance or ingredient.
Make it your own: change the fragrance or essential oil, or tweak the colour to suit the season.
