Method

Melt the wax and leave it to cool until it looks milky rather than watery.
Pour the cooled wax into the rose mould and leave to set, then unmould over a table.
Heat a thin nail or knitting needle and make a hole through the middle of each rose, then thread the wick through.
Dip the rose in coloured melted wax once or twice. Float them in a bowl of water as a centrepiece.

Once you have made your rose candles, here are a few ways to get a great result and put your own spin on it.

Match your wick to the container width: too small and it tunnels, too large and it smokes.
Add fragrance at around 60C so the scent binds properly into the wax.
Warm your container slightly before pouring to help the wax stick and avoid wet spots on the glass.
