Sweet Almond Oil

Sweet almond oil, the gentle all-rounder of the carrier oils. Light, mild in scent and easy to work with, which is why it turns up in so many massage oils, lotions and soaps. Botanical name Prunus dulcis.

What to make. Massage and body oils, lotions and creams, lip and body balms, scrubs, roll-on blends, and as part of the oil blend in soap.

Working with it. It absorbs at a medium speed, so it feels light without disappearing straight away, which makes it a good base for a massage blend. It also dilutes essential oils well for roll-ons and perfume oils.

Storage. Cool, dark and sealed. Like all plant oils it will eventually go off, so buy the size you will get through.
