Tips & variations
Once you have made your hand lotion for chapped hands, here are a few ways to get a great result and make it your own.
- This contains water, so always add a broad-spectrum preservative to keep it safe to use.
- Blend the oil and water phases at similar temperatures for a stable, silky result.
- Do a small patch test first whenever you try a new fragrance or ingredient.
Make it your own: change the fragrance or essential oil, or tweak the colour to suit the season.
