Pretty heart and rose shaped soaps in cherry-scented red, gorgeous for Valentine’s or gifting. What you will need White farmhouse soap Cherry fragrance Red liquid colouring Heart cookie cutters Kebab sticks PVC boxes for packaging Method Gently melt the white farmhouse soap (low heat or microwave on defrost). Colour it red and stir in the cherry fragrance. For hearts: pour a thin layer into a tray, let it firm slightly, then cut out hearts with the cookie cutter. How to Make Soap Flower Pops

Fun soap “lollipops”, flower-shaped soaps on a stick, lovely as party favours or little gifts. What you will need Coloured farmhouse soaps (rose, lavender and olive oil) Flower-shaped moulds Thick kebab sticks Ribbon Method Gently melt your coloured farmhouse soap (low heat on the stove or on defrost in the microwave). Pour the melted soap into the flower-shaped moulds. Before it sets, push a thick kebab stick into each flower to make the “pop”. Leave to set completely, then unmould. How to Make a Valentine’s Love Scrub

A romantic, softening body scrub with shea butter, almond oil and a sweet fragrance. What you will need 100ml shea butter 100ml sweet almond oil Fine salt 10ml fragrance of your choice (a sweet or floral scent works beautifully) Jars Method Gently melt the shea butter in the microwave for about 1 minute. Pour into a glass bowl and add the sweet almond oil and fragrance. Stir in the fine salt, mixing thoroughly until you have a thick scrub paste (not runny). Spoon into your jars. How to Make an Orange and Cinnamon Heel Balm

A rich winter foot balm with orange, cinnamon and camphor that heals cracked heels with daily use. What you will need 500ml super aqueous cream 50ml glycerine 100ml urea 100ml shea butter 5ml camphor essential oil 5ml orange essential oil and 5 drops cinnamon fragrance Jars Method Place the super aqueous cream in a blender. Dissolve the urea in the glycerine and add that to the cream. Melt the shea butter and add it to the blender. Add the camphor and orange essential oils and the cinnamon fragrance, then blend everything well. Spoon into jars. Use morning and evening through winter to heal and soften cracked heels. How to Make a Lemongrass Body Butter Candle

A soy candle in a natural box that doubles as a body butter, light it in the bath, then rub the warm melted wax onto your skin. What you will need 250g soy wax Lemongrass fragrance Yellow oil colouring Candle wick RBS square natural box Method Melt the soy wax in the microwave for about three minutes. Once melted, add the lemongrass fragrance and a little yellow colouring. Position two or three wicks in the middle of the square box, holding them upright with a little prestik under each sustainer and kebab sticks on either side. How to Make a Festive Gel Candle

A sparkly festive gel candle in a glass vase, scented with cranberry and vanilla, perfect for the holidays. What you will need Gel wax Glass vase Wick and sustainers Gold lustre and lustre sparkle Pink neon colour Cranberry fragrance Vanilla fragrance Method Melt the gel wax in a pot over very low heat until it runs like water. Dip the wick in the gel and hold it up to set straight, then fasten a sustainer to the bottom. Position the wick in the centre of the vase and tie the top to a kebab stick resting across the rim. What you will need 50ml fragrance emulsifier 25ml Venus fragrance Lustre sparkle 200ml distilled water Spray bottle Method Combine the fragrance and the fragrance emulsifier and mix very well until the fragrance is fully emulsified. How to Make a Citronella Reed Diffuser

A lime-coloured reed diffuser scented with citronella, pretty on a table and great for keeping mosquitoes at bay. What you will need Rattan reeds 50ml citronella essential oil 100ml diffuser oil base Yellow and green liquid colour 150ml glass bottle Method Combine the citronella essential oil and the diffuser oil base and mix very well.
