How to Make a Christmas Candle
9 June 2026A massage candle melts into warm, skin-loving oil, a lovely treat for dry winter skin and a romantic gift. This easy recipe from The Soap Barn uses simple candle making supplies.
What you will need
- 250g soy wax
- 50ml coconut oil
- Fragrance of your choice
- Candle wick
- A heat-safe container

Method
- Melt the soy wax in the microwave for about three and a half minutes.
- Stir in the coconut oil and 20ml of fragrance.
- Position the wick in the middle of the container, keeping it upright with kebab sticks.
- Pour in and leave to set. To use, light it, let the wax melt, blow it out and rub the warm wax into your skin.
